“Usually, what you wish for doesn’t fall into your lap; it falls somewhere nearby, and you have to recognize it, stand up, and put in the time and work it takes to get to it. This isn’t because the universe is cruel. It’s because the universe is smart- it knows we don’t appreciate things that fall into our laps.”—Unknown (via janetanne)
In computer applications class and I’m bored. Three years of computer classes already accomplished and now I’m enrolled for 11 weeks more. Three weeks gone and still counting. I have a bit more homework to do, which is easy this week.
Going to stop by the church after class. It’s becoming routine every Saturday. I was actually requested to go today and pray. I have a few prayers today, meaning more candles to light. Plus, I get to see my friend, Santo Nino.
Hired and waiting for the call to get my schedule. Hopefully, I get my call today. Start Monday and I’ll be busy from then on. Hoping I could squeeze in some coffee dates with the usuals.
Received mail from my brother, Prince, who’s in the navy. Our family misses him dearly. Hope we could all fly out to Illinois in December. Best of luck and my prayers go out to you big bro.
Everything has been well. I’ve been treated with nothing but good so far. Making challenges for myself. Moving forward, step by step.
“Dreams are crushing when they don’t come true. But it’s the simple dreams that are often the most painful because they seem so personal, so reasonable, so attainable. They’re always close enough to touch, but never quite close enough to hold and it’s enough to break you heart.”—Nicholas Sparks (via bitemesweet)
I couldn’t stop smiling once I knew. You are a bundle of joy that makes my whole body shiver with one touch, as if my body was about to explode full of excitment. To finally reveal yourself to me, I’m happy to know, to have met you, to feel such love and blessing.
Today, I learned about violence in the long term care workplace and preventing foodborne illnesses in the kitchen by doing my dad’s homework. Really good information to know. Haha. Now that I finished his homework, what about mine? Two days off of school to get ahead.
